Joel Spivak, Oliver Evans Chapter President, created a PowerPoint to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the first subway in the world (London England). He first presented the talk on the date of the subway opening, January 9, 2013.
He has updated the talk which covers some of the celebration and shows images of constructing the first subway followed by images of all the other subways in the world, including Philadelphia.

The meeting room will open at 5:30, talk will begin at 6:00

Location: Parkway Central Free Library, 1901 Vine Street
Enter the Heim Center classroom at the back of the library on Wood Street.
There is metered parking around the library building and a paid parking lot behind the library with an entrance off Callowhill Street.
