Historic Forge Tour

the Blacksmith of Trenton

Sunday, March 24, 2024, 11am to 2pm

We will be visiting an extremely historic forge in Trenton NJ called the Blacksmith of Trenton. The building has sheltered smiths since 1823. Daniel Lepidow trained in this shop and now is assistant to the owner blacksmith and does his own work in the shop.

Daniel is an active and powerful blacksmith calling himself “The Hebrew Hammer”. He is, among other things, a collector of superb anvils. Daniel is plying his trade among tools and forges that produced needed iron fittings for industrial- minded Trenton (TRENTON MAKES THE WORLD TAKES) for a long time.

Daniel will give a tour of the facility and demonstrate the use of his tools and equipment.

Address: 334 North Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ
In the image on the Google Maps listing the view of the shop is blocked by the Budget truck.
