Northeast Philadelphia History Fair

Friends of Northeast Philadelphia History presents

2024 Biennial Northeast Philadelphia History Fair

Saturday, April 13 2024, 10:00 AM to 3PM

Dozens of area history organizations, historic sites, historians, and authors will have displays on local history, as well as books, prints, maps, and other historical items for viewing and purchase. There will be formal presentations on Northeast Village, the huge post-World War II housing development that was built near Roosevelt Boulevard and Comly Road and removed in the 1960s, and on the 1970 book, Hark Back With Love, by local Quaker Frances Richardson, which chronicles her life in the Byberry area around the turn of the twentieth century. FNEPH has reprinted this important, long out-of-print book and will have copies for sale at the History Fair.

The Northeast Philadelphia History Fair is free and open to all, there is plenty of free parking available. Cannstatter’s is on Academy Road near Frankford Avenue in Upper Holmesburg. For more information: nephillyhistory@gmail.com or visit the Northeast Philadelphia History Network Facebook page.
