The Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) is opening its doors to the public for an open house and drinking water treatment plant tours on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will take place at the department’s Belmont Water Treatment Plant, 4300 W Ford Road, Philadelphia, PA 19131.
This tour demonstrates the water treatment process, including how the department keeps your tap water safe to drink and use every day.
Please note: This registration is only for the treatment plant tour.

IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND THE OPEN HOUSE WITHOUT TAKING A TOUR, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SIGN IN WHEN YOU ARRIVE
In order to take a tour, please register for one of the tour times on the link page, and be sure to bring:
State issued ID or driver’s license
Liability wavier*
Comfortable clothing – jeans and sneakers are recommended
Arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time to allow time for check-in at the security gate and for event registration.
*Liability waivers will be emailed with your confirmation and will also be available at registration. You must complete or bring the liability waiver in order to go on the plant tour and enter the event space – no exceptions!
